Abstract

The poem presents a critique of modern society's obsession with materialism, social media, and superficial appearances. It highlights how people often spend money on unnecessary things and seek empty praise while neglecting their health, emotions, and meaningful relationships. The poet observes that endless engagement with reels and virtual admiration has distanced individuals from genuine human connections and made them indifferent to the suffering of others. As a result, compassion, care, and traditional values are gradually fading in homes, workplaces, and society as a whole. However, the poem also offers hope by emphasizing the role of young minds in bringing positive change. It suggests that teachers and education can sow the seeds of wisdom and moral values in children. By guiding them to distinguish between truth and illusion, reality and superficiality, society can nurture a more compassionate and balanced generation. Ultimately, the poem is a call to restore genuine human values and prioritize inner well-being over external glitter.
